School Rules?

Do you feel the schools rules and guidelines are too strict? Why or why not? What can we do as students to change this?

I think that some of our school rules can be too strict ... for example like girls not being able to wear halter tops in school, or even jeans with rips that aren't that bad... I'm not sure what we can really do to try and convince the people in charge that those clothes should be considered appropriate.

School rules are like eating spaghetti while wearing a white shirt. Although they are some what good. Like having the rule to not bring knives and guns to school is a good rule because I don't want to die. :) I don't think we can do much about the school rules anyhow. Perhaps we can make a survey or something. I don't know.

Some of the school rules are sketchy but none the less they are there for a reason. Holes in the jeans when they are below the knees? It would be like wearing shorts but it is based on "appearance". One of the only ways to get a school rule denied is by going directly to Mr. Ryan or Mr. Macowan. But you just have to be prepared with a logical defense.

I think most of the rules are good for the school. Some of the rules are a little strict; the holes in the jeans for example. Yes it's a good rule if the holes are above the knee but below the knee makes no sense. For the general set rules they are there for a good reason and are well deserved for the most part.

Some school rules are fine. But some aren't really needed. Like holes in the jeans. Does it really matter when all these girls walk around in little skimpy definately not fingertip shortie shorts and skirts. I think one that if they are going to have these rules that they should apply them to everyone. I also think that they play favorites with who gets off with them and who does not. Which is not cool.
